Dental PMMA milling case

1. Data Acquisition and Design: Scan the oral cavity/plaster model to obtain 3D data, design the crown/base shape using CAD software such as Exocad, and generate CAM machining paths.

2. PMMA Disc Clamping: Select a PMMA disc of appropriate thickness, clamp it on a dental cutting machine fixture, and use high-speed steel or diamond tools.

3. Dry Precision Cutting: Start the milling machine for dry cutting, milling along the path to form a rough blank; PMMA is easy to machine, but pay attention to controlling the speed to prevent melting and sticking to the tool.

4. Blank Refinement and Flash Removal: Separate the workpiece, manually remove burrs and flash, and fine-tune the edges and veneer surfaces.

5. Grinding and Polishing: Grind with 600-1200 grit sandpaper in stages, using polishing paste/cloth wheels to improve surface smoothness.

6. Quality Inspection and Delivery: Check dimensions, occlusion, and marginal fit; deliver to clinic after passing inspection.
