Dental glass-ceramic cutting aesthetic veneer and inlay case

1. Oral Data Acquisition and Design: Scan the patient's oral cavity or plaster model to obtain 3D data. Use CAD software (such as Exocad) to design the morphology, occlusal surfaces, and adjoint relationships of the glass-ceramic crown/bridge, generating the CAM machining path.

2. Glass-Ceramic Blank Clamping: Select a matching glass-ceramic blank (commonly IPS e.max Press or CAD/CAM series) and fix it on a specialized fixture of the dental cutting machine. Select diamond cutting tools based on the material hardness.

3. CAM Dry Cutting: Start the milling machine for dry cutting (glass-ceramics are brittle; dry cutting reduces edge chipping) to cut into a rough denture blank. Dust must be removed using a vacuum cleaner during the process.

4. Blank Trimming and Pre-Sintering (Required for some materials): Manually remove burrs from the edges of the blank. If it is a sinterable glass-ceramic, it needs to be placed in a sintering furnace for low-temperature pre-sintering to improve the blank's strength for subsequent processing.

5. Veneer and Staining: Special glass-ceramic veneer powder is prepared and hand-molded onto the surface of the rough denture to create a natural tooth texture. Staining solution is then used to adjust the color gradation, simulating the translucency and luster of natural teeth.

6. High-Temperature Sintering: The veneered denture is placed in a sintering furnace, and a heating curve is set according to the material parameters (usually 700-900℃). After holding at this temperature, it is cooled with the furnace to allow the veneer porcelain to fully fuse with the base porcelain.

7. Grinding, Polishing, and Quality Inspection: The occlusal relationship is adjusted using a diamond grinding head. The surface gloss is enhanced through progressive polishing or glazing. Finally, dimensional accuracy and color matching are checked. Once qualified, the denture is delivered to the clinic.
